  • Avoid Sun Exposure: Protect your skin from the sun and avoid any form of tanning for at least 2 weeks prior to minimize the risk of post-treatment hyperpigmentation.
  • Stop Certain Skincare Products: Discontinue the use of products containing retinol, AHA/BHA, and other exfoliating agents about a week before your treatment to reduce skin sensitivity.
  • No Waxing or Shaving: Avoid waxing, shaving, or any hair removal methods in the treatment area for 48 hours before your session to prevent irritation.
  • Stay Hydrated: Drink plenty of water the day before your appointment to ensure your skin is well-hydrated.

Post Treatment

  • Skin Care: Follow your provider’s instructions for post-treatment care, which will likely include gentle cleansing and the application of specific post-treatment products to aid in healing.
  • Sun Protection: Sunscreen is crucial after RF Microneedling. Apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher daily to protect your skin, as it will be more sensitive to the sun post-treatment.
  • Avoid Makeup: Refrain from applying makeup for at least 24 hours after treatment to allow your skin to breathe and heal properly.
  • Expect Redness and Swelling: It’s normal to experience some redness, swelling, or a sensation similar to a sunburn immediately after the procedure. These symptoms should subside within a few days.
  • Stay Cool: Avoid hot showers, saunas, and strenuous exercise for 24-48 hours post-treatment to minimize irritation and swelling.
